Ingredients
1/4cupsalted butterroom temperature
2Tablespoonsmolassesor to taste
1teaspoonpure maple syrupoptional
Instructions
In a small bowl, using a handheld mixer, beat the butter until creamy and smooth.
Drizzle in the molasses and maple syrup, if using. Whip again until completely incorporated and the butter is light and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and mixer. Beat again.
Taste, and whip in additional molasses for a more pronounced flavour. Transfer the whipped molasses butter to a jar. Use at once, or cover and refrigerate for up to one week. Bring to room temperature before spreading.
