Weekend Links: Health & Wellness Edition

It feels a bit strange not to start the year with a benediction for whole living or a staunch list of my health resolutions, but truth be told, my eating habits don’t change much from year to year.

Sure I always restock my pantry with whole foods and make an effort to reinvent the lunch box, but I’m more interested in maintaining common sense eating for wellness rather than diets. Seasonal. Sustainable. Made from scratch. That sort of thing.

I’m also recipe testing for a cookbook, so  I may be loading up on maple syrup  or cheesecake while the rest of you are digging into salads. There’s also that.

Still, my goal is always to inspire, and so if a handful of you are looking for help to start fresh or cleanse, I’ve got a great list of links for you this weekend.

  1. Some great ideas here; I am doing the Bon Appetit Food Lovers Cleanse to kick start healthy eating this year. It’s not going to undue all of the holiday overdose but hopefully it will give me a boost this January.

I just linked to this post on GourmetMommy.com. Thanks!

  2. Great list! I hopped over to Tidy Mom’s Green Smoothie Prep for Busy People Link and got some great ideas. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Great list, thank you so much for including me! I just checked out your post on reinventing the lunchbox and bookmarked it – I know I’ll referring back to it for inspiration!

  4. Thanks for sharing! Great links and recommendations to try out and send to my clients!
    All the best in 2014,

  5. Everything can be eaten… as long as you follow portion control! (which is the hardest thing for me!!) That’s why I thought putting my detox salad in mason jars would be a good way for me to control potion size and plan ahead for the week. Thank you so much for sharing my salad with your readers!

  6. I’m being a total cliche and am on day 2 of the 21 Day Sugar Detox. But my cooking habits have not been great in the past year, and I want to get back on track. It’s a reboot. I’m hoping that I’ll get in a better routine this year, and not be rebooting again come 2015!
