Weekend links

With the return of sunshine and the arrival of warmer weather yesterday, we crammed a whole lot into our family day to make up for lost time. A country drive, a picnic, a stop at an ice cream parlor and later, a leisurely campfire dinner filled up our Saturday quite nicely.

Now the rain is back, but that is okay, as we’re flipping pancakes and prepping breakfast in bed for Danny. Noah’s whipping the cream by hand and Mateo is cleaning strawberries for a topping. Later we’ll slow down even more and maybe even make time for a nap, at least for these two, anyway.

Sunday is our down day and I have plenty of reading to catch up with, as well as a menu for the week to think about. Here is a bit of inspiration in case you plan to do the same:

If you’re a dad, we want to wish you a Happy Father’s Day!
