Weekend Giveaway: Tattler Reusable Canning Lids

This giveaway is now closed. Check back soon for the winner!

Today’s fantastic weekend giveaway is from Simple Bites sponsor, Tattler Reusable Canning Lids, and it’s a good one! One winner will take home a giveaway package of 100 regular lids AND 100 wide mouth lids with reusable rubber rings!

I’d say someone is about to be set for the canning season ahead.

Just because the roadside produce stands are buried in snow doesn’t mean we have to pack away our canning jars and declare the season over. There are still plenty of fun preserving projects to be made during the darker months of the year.

In some ways, canning in January is more enjoyable than during the hectic summer months.  In winter you can choose your recipes with leisure without fear of fruit over-ripening. There is more time for experimentation, and less of the panic that can come with the pressure of putting food up in July.

For your canning inspiration, here’s a round-up of inspiration for home canning in the winter months. From marmalade to chutney, there’s enough recipes to keep you busy until spring.

About Tattler Reusable Canning Lids

For months now I have counted Tattler Reusable Canning Lids in my essential canning equipment because they are completely BPA-free and can be used over and over again. Not only do the standard flat metal canning lids from grocery stores contain Bisphenol-A, but they must be tossed out after just one use.

Tattler Lids provide a cost effective alternative to metal lids, as well as a safe, environmentally friendly product for home food preservation. With Tattler lids, I know I am making a good choice for my family’s health and the environment.

Concerned about how they work? Tattler’s newly revamped website includes a comprehensive tutorial on using their lids to help ensure you get a proper seal every time.

I recommend you follow Tattler on Twitter to keep abreast of deals and sales though out the year. You can also find them on Facebook, and on their blog.
