Giveaway: Magimix by Robot-Coupe 14-cup Food Processor

** This giveaway has ended. Check back on Sunday for the winner!**
Welcome to Simple Living Media’s Home for the Holidays! We’ve got 15 giveaways across the entire network this week—all great gift ideas, perfect for the holidays.

I’m so very excited about today’s giveaway item because I feel like I’m sharing a valuable discovery with you as well as giving away a top of the line kitchen tool…

Yep, I’m kicking things off with a Magimix by Robot-Coupe 14-cup Food Processor!

Valued at approximately $450,the Magimix  is the best of the best food processors and built to last. How do I know that? Because Robot-Coupe, the inventor of the food processor, has been in every commercial kitchen I have ever worked it.

Allow me to let you in on a little secret: I have never owned a food processor for home use, until now. I just knew I wouldn’t be entirely happy with the models on the market, plus I wasn’t willing to spend the money on a kitchen appliance I knew wouldn’t last as long as I wanted it to and wouldn’t be able to perform to my standards.

Then I heard about Magimix, made in France by Robot-Coupe. What? A food processor for home use made by a company I trusted and adored? It was almost too good to be true.

A host of my kitchen tasks are now simplified thanks to the 14-cup Magimix food processor that resides on my counter. It out-performs my highest expectations, cleans in a snap and I’m happy to say it will be around for the long haul. A good thing, as my family is growing.

Some of my favorite features of the Magimix include its powerful (950W), extra-quiet motor that I’ve seen be put to the test in commercial kitchens, and the trio of work bowls that allows you to carry out multiple tasks in rapid succession, without stopping to wash a bowl.

  • The small bowl (mini) is perfect for mincing herbs for pesto, creaming a nut butter, or making mayonnaise.
  • The medium bowl (midi) is ideal for slicing vegetables and grating cheese.
  • The large bowl (main) handles big prep jobs like kneading dough, slicing a large batch of vegetables, and liquefying soups.

I recently turned an entire 10-lb bag of onions into my French Onion Soup base. The bulk of the task – slicing the onions – was done in just two batches in the Magimix thanks to its large bowl, a razor-sharp Sabatier stainless-steel slicing blade, and the extra-large feed tube that eliminated the need to do more than halve the onions.

My favorite attachment so far is the Food Processor Juice Extractor & Smoothie Attachment. It’s an absolute beast when it comes to  turning pounds and pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables into colorful juices. My boys and I are obsessed!

Oh, la la. I have to say I can’t wait to make baby food with the Mash and Puree Kit.

I loved the Robot Coupe in culinary school and commercial kitchens and now I’m just as smitten with Magimix, the home cook’s version of a outstanding food processor.

One Simple Bites reader will win a Magimix by Robot-Coupe 14-Cup Food Processor (Cuisine Systeme 4200 XL)!

What does the  Magimix Cuisine Systeme 4200 XL include? All of the following:

  • 14-cup main bowl

  • 6-cup mini bowl
  • 950W commercial grade motor
  • Mini and main metal blade

  8. Shannon Wieneke says

  12. I miss my mom’s food processor! I’d use this to knead our weekly pizza dough and sourdough wheat bread, grate carrots for salads and potatoes for hash browns, puree soups, and yes, slice and chop onions (it’s French onion soup season around here).

  13. Heather Gilkes says

What food prep am I not dying to hand over to this awesome food processor !!!
The 14 cup bowl for large soups would bew terrific rather than spillting and having an extra bowl for cleaning up 🙂
    Thanks so much

  14. My blender just broke- I would LOVE a food processor. I have a 7 month old daughter and have been making all her baby food. Need a food processor for when the back up supply runs out!!

  15. I would like to have this to help me chop and grate vegetables for salad, soups, et.

  16. I would like to have this to help chop and grate veggies for salads, soups, etc.

  21. Grating/chopping/slicing all my veggies for the massive canning sessions. Relishes, salsas, pickles – I put up over 25 flats this year. Yikes!

  23. And also I tweeted about the giveaway!

  26. WOW…… I so want this work horse!!!! 🙂 I think the first thing I would try is to make mayonnaise. I’ve tried numerous times before with no luck. Then I would make a big batch of hummus and munch on veggies while I planned my next food adventure. Thanks for the opportunity to win this!

  27. would love to use this as an easier way to slice veggies!

  28. Mercy, wouldn’t I love to hand over all the grating and slicing to a food processor. Plus, I just found out my sister is pregnant and that I will be in charge of making all the baby food when the time arrives!

  29. Seriously, chopping, all chopping!

  30. I would love to have someone or “something” grate my cheese and shred my brussels sprouts. Both activities that take way to much of my time, but I have to keep doing them because I love “cheesey” stuff and brussels sprouts, sometimes together!

  34. I would use this for so many things – but most of all for pureed soups! My old, old, old Cuisinart is on it’s last legs and I can’t do liquids in it any more because of a crack in the bowl. Plus the cord is held together with duct tape. Don’t you think it’s time I replaced it??!!

  35. Ah, I would love to say yes to crusts everywhere that have required a food processor in the past!

  36. I would love to give up the chore of chopping onions!

  40. I have never had a food processor in my kitchen. I can envision all sorts of ideas for its use; like using it as a juicer, chopping veggies or using it to make items such as hummus. Your food processor would look really good in my kitchen, I promise.

  41. I would LOVE to have a food processor! Just the fact that it is like many kitchen utensils in one would save me the headache of having all of these seperate tools in my tiny apartment kitchen…. but mayo would be bliss to make, I cringe when I look at the ingredients in the store bought variety! Nothing like homemade!

  42. Chopping onions and grating cheese. And I’d love it for juicing!

  43. Donna McGougan says

Would love it for kneading dough!

  44. I’d really love to use this to slice some potatoes for scalloped potatoes while keeping my digits away from the mandolin.

  45. Holidays are coming and I have a half dozen requests for pies. I had tried a food processor before to speed things up on the pastry end and was very disappointed in the lack of control on the model I had. The machine was so useless I wound up giving it away.

  46. linda murray says

I would love a food procesor that could keep up with me and all my cooking… Multiple bowls!!! I love it… Thanks for the chance… My family is hoping we win…

  47. If I win I would love the multiple bowls as well…less cleaning up for sure 🙂 Also, I think I would end up putting the smoothie attachment on my Christmas list to top it off 🙂 Looks like a great machine with attachment options for further purchase if you want!

  48. I would like this machine to take over the majority of my prep work when making preserves (i.e., slicing pickles, onions, etc.)

  49. Holly Snyder says

I would love to make bread and butter pickles and homemade salsa! I’d also use it for the fresh veggies my 4 year old and I love to snack on!
